PPW Annual Picnic 2010

Venue: Al Ain

On 3rd  December 2010, PPW planned an outing for its members and their families in Al Ain, also known as the garden city of the Gulf. A few members assembled in front of Dubai Outlet Mall and set off for the joyous ride to Al Ain, whereas many along-with their families had already chosen to reach on their own. The entire team then gathered at the venue, Rotana Hotel lawn where a huge bouncy castle delighted the children while members and families prepared to spend a relaxing day outside.

After Juma prayers, the ladies chose to play musical chairs and spoon race.  It was a hotly contested competition with everyone enjoying the thrill.  As the ladies concluded their games, the lunch was served.  Rotana Hotel had prepared a sumptuous lunch for the members of Pakistan Professionals Wing.  The lunch included various Arabic and Pakistani dishes and a wide spread of salads and deserts.

The group enjoyed various activities post-lunch.  Most prominent act was the magician who was brought in specially from Dubai to entertain the members.  The 30-minute magic show was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids and the adults alike.  After the magic show the members proceeded to play cricket.  The cricket session revealed immense hidden talent among the PW members.  Enough to export it to Pakistani cricket team in times of need.  A suggestion of making a formal cricket team at the end of this session was also tabled.

The picnic then came to its end after the evening tea was served.  Some of the members proceeded on their own to enjoy a ride to Jebel Al Hafeet while other started their drive back to Dubai .  All the guests were presented gift hampers generously organized by Unikai for which was thank Mr Sajjad. We also thank Mr Abdul Qayyum for organizing such a wonderful event for PW members.
