PPW Annual Picnic 2010

Venue: The Oceanic Hotel, Khor fakkan

It was a beautiful Friday morning, the sun was playing a peek-a-boo from the clouds. Cool breeze of wind touched every now and then. The weather was as terrific as one can dream to have a group picnic. PW members were invited to assemble at PW office and a large group chose to reach the venue with their families at the august venue.

A small group of people shared a light breakfast with tea and croissants at PW office and then headed for the venue together in bus and rest in their respective transport to queue with the bus. After finishing a 2 hour drive the group reached The Oceanic Hotel and met other members and friends.

Some of the men & boys started playing cricket right away. Rest all assembled outside in the vicinity of the hotel beach where they could catch the sight a beautiful sea shore. After enjoying a little sight-seeing and a bit of cricket everyone headed for lunch in the Hotel dining hall. The Buffet lunch was extremely delicious with a wide variety of hot & fresh mouth watering Barbequed Seekh Kababs and Tikkas, Biryani, Fired Fish to top it up with yummy desserts like Gulab Jamun & strawberry cheese cake.

After the lunch the games got underway. Cricket for men & boys, Bouncy Castle for the children and other floor games such as musical chairs etc. The ladies enchanted themselves with multiple activities like collecting sea-shells, photo-session, walking besides the sea shore and few continued to buck up their kids to participate in the games.

The group was then treated to tea/coffee and snacks to freshen up as sunset was approaching. The breeze was still fresh and was becoming cooler. Slowly and gradually the picnic came to an end while all the families one followed by another wished each other and shared their expressions about the day they spent at the picnic. A gift bag was also pre-arranged (Compliments of Tiffany) for each and every family to add to the memorable event. Soon the group in the bus was also assembled and drove back on way to Dubai, PW Office. On the way to descending from mountains a short stay was executed and members enjoyed shopping of small rugs, clay items, dry fruits and hot corns. In 10 minutes the group was ready again to finally head to Dubai. We hope that the members who joined us enjoyed the picnic.
